Hi, I’m Mike Brown.
I started in public safety as a U.S. Air Force Security Police officer, serving tours in Texas, Korea, and Guam, followed by a Presidential Support assignment at Andrews Air Force Base. After graduating the Prince George’s County Municipal Police Academy in 1990, I spent my law-enforcement career as a certified instructor in Firearms, RADAR, Interview & Interrogation, Emotional Intelligence, and court testimony.
The problem: when Maryland became a shall-issue state, I met too many responsible citizens who had permits—but not a solid understanding of Maryland carry law, self-defense standards, or what to do after an incident.
The solution: I built a practical program that pairs plain-English legal instruction with live-fire, decision-making, and de-escalation. My goal is simple: ensure every student I train knows where they can carry, when force is lawful, and how to avoid trouble—so they protect themselves and their rights with confidence.
